Rookie running back Le’Veon Bell and cornerback Cortez Allen could return to the lineup this Sunday against the Vikings at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Pay per head services know that Bell has yet to play this season due to a foot injury suffered in the preseason.
“He perked up dramatically at the end of last week,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said today. “We’re excited about watching him be a full participant this week during the course of practice and let that dictate his play. He has been doing a nice job of working from a rehabilitation standpoint. We’re optimistic about his availability. We’ll let the practice process be our guide in deciding how much work he gets in the football game.”
Allen has missed the last two games with an ankle injury.
“He is going to practice and his availability will be based on that participation,” Tomlin said. “We’re optimistic he is going to be able to play in this football game.”
Defensive end Brett Keisel (left hamstring) and nose tackle Steve McLendon (right hamstring) should go full strength later in the week and play on Sunday as well.
