The Patriots signed wide receiver Austin Collie today.
Pay per head services know that Collie, who has been plagued by injuries, will join a banged-up receiving corps that featured six players on yesterday’s injury report.
The 27-year-old Collie spent some time in training camp with the 49ers. He has dealt with concussion problems in the past and last year his season came to end because of a torn patellar tendon in Week 3.
The former BYU star has caught 173 passes for 1,845 yards and 16 touchdowns in 42 career games with the Colts, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
The Patriots also placed defensive lineman Vince Wilfork on injured reserve and released tight end Zach Sudfeld.
