In a previous article back in December we discussed why the Knicks were a mess, you can check the article here. Well, nothing has changed since then.
Pay per head services know that the Knicks are 18 games under .500, riding a six-game losing streak and out of the playoffs.
After yesterday’s 109-90 loss against the Bulls, Carmelo Anthony said that the Knicks lack a ‘sense of pride’ and that ‘it’s embarrassing.’
Embarrassing can’t even describe it. The Knicks are 1-7 since the All-Star break and their last three losses have come by an average of 22.7 points. The team’s defense is broken, the offense is inconsistent and they have no answers.
Mathematically, the Knicks can still make the playoffs but realistically nothing about their recent efforts suggest they’ll be able to usurp the Bobcats, Hawks, Cavaliers and Pistons.
Their on-court product suggests that leadership is clearly an issue for the Knicks.
It’s too late to give excuses, the Knicks lack defense, heart, pride and effort and they’re chasing a playoff spot they don’t deserve.
