Many of us expected Alabama and Texas A&M to put on a show at College Station, but last Saturday’s game was actually something very special. The two best teams in the SEC and I might even go as far as to say in the country went at it for 60 minutes and in the end the two-time defending national champion Crimson Tide got some revenge over Johnny Manziel and the Aggies in a 49-42 shootout.
Pay per head services know that Johnny Football’s off-the-field antics and his character flaws can’t be overlooked but no one can deny that he is the best player in college football today. Two of his costly mistakes, an interception in the end zone and an interception returned for a touchdown decided the game, but Manziel passed for a career-high 464 yards and five touchdowns, while adding 98 yards on the ground against one of the best defenses in the country. Not to be outdone, Alabama signal-caller A.J. McCarron put up big numbers as well, throwing for 334 yards and four touchdowns in the win.
Unfortunately these two teams are in the same conference; in fact, they’re even in the same division, so a rematch for the national title is not likely to happen.
