The Panthers extended their winning streak to seven games on Sunday with a come-from-behind 20-16 win against the Dolphins. The Panthers haven’t lost since October 6 and no team in the NFL has won as many consecutive games since.
Pay per head services are aware that the Panthers still trail the Saints by one game in the NFC South with five games remaining (including two matchups with the Saints).
Can the Panthers overtake the Saints?
We will find out on Sunday Night Football in Week 14, as NBC announced that their Week 14 clash will be broadcast by NBC.
By then both teams might be tied for first place in the division, as the Saints visit the NFC’s top-seeded Seahawks while the Panthers host the Buccaneers.
The Panthers do have the talent to win one or both of their upcoming games against the Saints but in order to do so their defense, particularly the secondary has to step up to confuse slow down Drew Brees. Offensively they must move the chains through the ground constantly and Cam Newton has to attack through the air as often as possible. The NFC South winner will likely be decided in those two meetings and it will be interesting to see how the Panthers will respond to that pressure.
