Brandon Jacobs returns to the Giants

According to NJ.com, the New York Giants will bring back running back Brandon Jacobs for one year.

Bookmaking Software readers know that Jacobs spent the first seven years of his career with the Giants and rushed for 4,849 yards and 56 touchdowns on 1,078 carries. He signed with the 49ers last season but appeared in just two games and had five carries for seven yards.

The Giants will be without running back Andre Brown for most of the season after he broke his leg during the final preseason game and David Wilson fumbled twice in last Sunday’s 36-31 loss to the Cowboys.

Brown is currently on injured reserve and he can’t be activated until Week 9 at the earliest.
