Seahawks Wide Receiver Percy Harvin will return against the Saints

Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin will play in Saturday’s NFC Divisional Playoff game against the Saints after missing most of the season following hip surgery.

“He’s back and ready to go,” Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said today. “We’re anxious to add him to the mix.”

The Seahawks acquired Harvin from the Vikings in an offseason trade. Harvin elected to undergo arthroscopic surgery in August and has played in just one game since.

Harvin caught one pass for 17 yards and had a 58-yard kickoff return in a Week 11 win over the Vikings but he suffered a setback after the game with swelling and stiffness in his hip and didn’t practice again until last week.

“This team is set,” Harvin said. “I’m just looking forward to jumping on the bus and enjoying the ride.”
